Juniors contracts/signing not working

After drafting players in the QMJHL, I attempted to sign them. I click submit, it goes to the next screen, and then... nothing ever happens. No response from the player (to confirm or decline), and when I click on them I can offer a contract (again) but not "end negotiations" as with professionals, etc. Wait a day, a week, a month, no one signs. As if I had never offered. Players drafted by other teams do sign. Same thing happens with free agents. However, if I approach a player to sign them and advance to the next day while the negotiations are open (i.e., press space bar instead of submitting the contract), the player almost always signs the next day, on a 1yr $5000 contract (whereas the QMJHL contracts are supposed to be $3000 for the duration of their eligibility). Any ideas what is going on? Please let me know if you need the save game file. Thanks!

Junior-league contracts are automatically accepted without negotiation at a standard rate, the player doesn't get an opportunity to refuse.or respond. They go to your roster as soon as you click submit (and if you hit space bar while you're on that screen, it does submit the offer.)

Apologies for not replying until I encountered this in 2025 (https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=362799). Oops...

I appreciate the reply, but this doesn't address the issue... which might be why it is still around in 2025. The lack of negotiation isn't the problem. The problem is the inability to offer a contract without advancing the time (i.e., pressing spacebar), and when pressing advancing the time, ending up with an incorrect contract. I figured out more detail in FHM11 (see link above), as in some cases I can offer a contract (that is signed as offered, without having to Continue) and in other cases I run into the contract issue again.
