Convince Me to Love PT Like You Do

Genuine question — hoping to learn from others. No disrespect intended.

I’m trying to understand what others enjoy most about Perfect Team and the tournaments. What do you personally get out of it? Especially for those who spend money on PP or packs — what makes it worth it for you?

I’m asking because I want to enjoy the game more, and maybe I’m missing something. For example, when I spend money in FanDuel or Sorare, there’s at least the chance to win real prizes. But in OOTP, when the next version of the game comes out, the old one shuts down and everything you built or bought is gone.

So this isn’t meant to criticize — I’m genuinely curious. I want to get more out of it, and maybe hearing your reasons will help me see it differently.

You can still enjoy and Play PT24 and PT25 despite a newer version released.

I do wish there was more than a month between the last release of premium cards and the start of a new PT version. Maybe 2 or 3 months?

I don’t know if the number of participants is dwindling?

One good thing about the game, TWITCH affiliates are doing a tremendous job!

I get that the players want real $$$ or fungibles to carry past versions. Think OOtp will need to be bought by MGM for that.

I'd like to genuinely respond to your question with what I genuinely, personally enjoy about PT and why I come back to it every year (and before anyone says anything, I may be a contributor with OOTP, but I say these things from the heart and from my own personal feelings).

#1: I enjoy that there are multiple different ways to play AND enjoy the game. Do you want to play casually and build your team as you go and be a free-to-play player? Do you want to create a theme team? Packs-only team? Play just in tournaments? Be genuinely one of the best teams? No matter what goals you have for yourself - and they don't have to be lofty, make-it-to-Perfect-League goals - you can have fun playing this game, and that's the number-one goal I have when I play any game: Having fun.

#2: I also enjoy that there a lot of different options as to how I build a roster. Sure, some players may have figured out "meta" players, but building a team in your own vision given what you have is a pretty good challenge to have.

#3: The comradery. There's a good community of folks who want what's best for the game, both on here and on Discord, and while I might personally agree with some and disagree with some, I feel it's out of a love for what the game could be, and I know the team strives hard every year to make the experience the best it can be for everyone.

That's what I personally get out of the game and why I come back to it every year.

Well said Dish!
