Paul would your program be able to pull the photos for the non roster invitees and all the pics from minor league baseball's website? besides being useful for those using photos, would be a huge thing for facegen guys too to have an easily downloadable library to work from to make facegens. heck, i'd pprobably be willing to donate the cost of a decent dinner for you and your significant other if you could do it?

Of course. It can also be used to pull coaches photos.

I looked today and the non-roster sections of mlb teams now has been cleaned. But earlier in spring training it could have been done.

The other thing to note on MiLB teams is that I looked at Toledo Mud Hens this morning and the consistency of their photos is all over the place. So they won't be as nice as the MLB collection from a consistency standpoint.

Also, some players will duplicate in that they will have a MiLB picture AND a MLB picture if they are on the 40 man roster.

I am happy to make this happen. But, I'd like some consensus on what best output would be. e.g. which picture format, which teams, what to do with duplicates. Coaches? etc....

It's totally doable. And I enjoy the Python coding revisions.

Can you expand on the manual steps you are taking? There may be some tweaks to the code that I can do.

for example, I've been tinkering with the adjustment of latin names due to the tilde's and other accent marks that get scraped from the player names versus the names as they show up in OOTP without the accents.

My thought would be that if they have a headshot with the MLB level of the organization they are part of, always lean that direction.

Looks like AAA teams for the most part are all updated now with their seasons officially underway.

Is there a way to have both included in the Python, and then have the ones with multiple photos in a separate folder or something like that? Just a thought.

Appreciate all your hard work on this. I was attempting to do this all manually.

Sure. I'll copy the historical minors ID for each guy and replace it with the players name ahead of the .jpg ending of each file.
After that, I'll just drop them into the right folder.

Haven't been able to find a method that automatically gets me every players name and the historical minors id next to it.

(The Historical ID, that's exportable in ootp is something different btw)

Very nice - I used to something similar years ago - but this is even better and less time consuming.
