Repeated CTDs after errors loading PT league file

I started the game and logged into my PT account. Then, upon attempting to load the league files I received two error messages, one was something about art files and the other pagemark or bookmark files, after which the game CTD'd. Now every time I attempt to load the game the home page appears briefly followed by CTD.

First off, try to delete any .pt files in your saved games folder and then try again.

Also, are you using a custom data path?

This was my first attempt at playing on this system, so the save games folder has only the readme in it. Eventually I will migrate the data folder to Onedrive but I have not yet.

Probably need to uninstall and reinstall. I would suggest reinstalling that in a different location than you first chose, since some of what you're describing sounds like there may have been write permission issues in the first install location.

I’ll have to try later when I get to a place with dedicated Wi-Fi (on a hotspot here) I can tell you it was installed to the default Steam folder on C:. New laptop with an SSD.
