What is the World Baseball Classic add-on discussed and how does it work?

The World Baseball Classic (WBC) is a multi-country tournament played

From the Master Change List:

World Baseball Classic
- Play the WBC + Qualifiers (you can play out any game as any country)

- In new standard game, if selected, WBC qualifiers will run in 2025, full tournament in 2026 (the qualifying rounds are listed as WBC1 and WBC2; you will get news notifications about roster selection and when the games take place)

- Actual 2025 WBC Rosters, where possible (rest of team is generated and requires no interaction on your part)

- Tournament will begin right at game creation. Winning teams from qualifiers will appear in main tournament in 2026

- Tournament will continue every 4 years

The games are played in early spring so it doesn't impact the MLB regular season.

Yes you select when starting a new standard game, just make sure you check the box.

I don't know about exhibition mode though

And the Cardinals had 19 players on WBC rosters last year and my liver still hasn't recovered from their regular season performance.
