Undoing Player Retirement

EDIT: Apparently, this was in issue in 25 as well.

Several players retired at the end of the season and I've since unretired them.

They are in the free agent section however, when you go to offer them a contract, it says, "my playing days are behind me."

How to fully undo retirement?

As far as i know you can easily unretire players. As i have done that a couple times where i liked a player on another team (HOF type player) and hit unretire
Just right click on player and choose unretire player

I don't think that's the main issue he's having. Rather, after he unretires the player he tries to make an offer and the players are all saying "my playing days are behind me."

The un-retire button should clear that status on players. Are you using the action individually on players, or un-retiring them in some other manner?

I just unretired Trevor Bauer and he's willing to sign a contract with no issues.

I don't recall what I did for the guy in question (Campanella). Some guys, you can offer them contracts fine after being unretired, others they refuse with the "playing days are behind me."

Yes, worked with some guys but not others.

I retired him again than unretired him again - by himself - and that did the trick.

Maybe I had done an unretiring for multiples at once.
