How much money would you start with?

I realize there could be a wide range, and people may not answer honestly but I figured I would throw it out there.

About halfway into 25 I pulled a Cliff Lee 102 combinator which I sold for just under 1 mil. Those points made the game WAY more enjoyable as I was able to complete more missions, get better cards, have better daily/weekly tournament teams, etc...I was able to trace it all to that card as my other two teams didn't have nearly the success.

Now I am fortunate that money isn't a concern, within reason, but I dont want to put in too little because then all I would be is the tallest midget in the room.

I was thinking $300 and would love others thoughts.

Thanks and I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming version.

I put way more money into PT 25 to get those big ticket cards to complete harder missions to get Perfect and Rainbow packs. I wont do that with PT26. I won't say how much, but let's just say I would never tell my wife.

I might be in the minority with PT (and definitely not the customer they are hoping for) but I think the fun is in trying to compete without spending actual cash on the game. As of now, without any money spent, I have only 17 missions left to complete (9 technically which would clean out the other 8 along the way). I was a very competitive gold team with a few seasons that I was able to hang around and not be a walkover in diamond. It's more fun to me to manage the roster and make decisions on which cards to chase vs. just paying to get whoever you want and watching the sim win 120+ games by default. No ill will to the people spending money though, in fact thankful for them because it keeps the game rolling. Plus it is fun to knock them out in a short playoff series.

Can a dev weigh in on how much money Lathum should give you? He doesn't want to spend too little.

If you can't finish all the collection missions in the BETA, I'd find another game to spend your time on.

you should put in as much money as is comfortable for you to play the game the way you want to play.

i am personally putting in five hundred dollars, as it'll allow me to start competing in all tournaments on day 1, plus I make that back on twitch anyways. i don't need to, i have played the game in all sorts of ways, but i know i will have more fun jumping in immediately and this game gets so many hours of my life anyways. that's nothing compared to how much some other hobbies cost

Why would you spend money at this point on PT25 when you can start over with v26 ?

Long live the best ever version of Perfect Team.....

PT19

When the only way to play, was to play-for-free and everyone had a equal chance of doing well and having fun while doing it...........

This feels like a skit or something. Just go back to the beginning of the thread.

I'll stand corrected if I must, but I think the major issue here is your asking a question about how to best play a year old version when its replacement is the talk of the town right now. I expect that very few customers are going to continue playing v25 at this point and even fewer putting money into the game.

no, they're using last year's experience to help base the question in asking how much they should spend this year. you're completely missing the point

I didn't ask anything. I answered the original question, which was asked by someone else, with how I approached and played PT25. Regardless, I hope everyone has a great experience with 26!

I used to put in $50-200ish for the first couple years of PT (not including the subscription when they had that) but then the experience keeps getting progressively tilted towards whales so I have put in $0 the last couple years.

Probably $0 again this year, but if the experience is better maybe I'll change my mind. Still was able to complete a lot (713 out of like 763?) of missions and do alright in tournaments either way, and I've never cared about the league play portion of it.

Then I stand corrected. I mixed up who asked the original question with what appeared to be an investment in the older version by a second poster. Sorry for the confusion.
