3-D Improvements in '26
As someone who has really found that the 3-D additions through the years has really helped me immerse myself in this game I was wondering what improvements were made this year besides the scoreboards. Any improvements to the stadiums or player models? Also would I have the ability to turn off the animated scoreboards as I enjoy retro logo's up on them. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering the same, but from the few clips or screens I've seen so far in the Road to Release content, it doesn't look much (any?) different.
IIn the same vein, I'm hoping for improvements to the camera system. Better ball tracking, better camera usage. |

The game still makes a lot of "poor decisions" on certain angles that I'd love more control over, i.e. the ability to specify which camera is used based on the ball's coordinates. |

I would love to have an option to skip the superfluous stuff between plays. I don't need to see the infield throw the ball around the horn, etc.

The camera panning and camera switching are still too jarring for me. I have my camera set static for what is essentially a press box view, and I'm quite happy with it. I don't have many more needs when it comes to 3D other than to continue to improve the little nuances that really make this mode a joy. Some of grounders that get through the infield and the centerfield extra base hits could be smoothed out. I do like that a player failing over isn't an automatic error any longer. |

I do understand where you are coming from, but i actually like the little things that add to the overall experience...i do hope that they decide to keep it and offer it as an "on/off" option!

The few pictures I saw of the stadiums over at Steam don't appear to be any different than last year. Other than the animated scoreboard.

I'm starting to think that the animated scoreboards and a few player model animation improvements is all we're going to see this year.

I like the animated scoreboards but the player model animations also needs major improvements IMO. Not enough diversity in the plays. When you play every game you constantly see the same plays over and over again. I hope they spent a few hours on this at least. Create more new animations!

3d on-field action needs an overhaul
I just watched footage of OOTP 26 from OOTPDevelopments' latest Youtube video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbIhu5uyUrw ), and having pre-ordered this game, I'm already starting to have buyer's regret. I saw something in the 3d footage of the game that is the type of thing I've seen in other recent versions of OOTP that I wish would be fixed, and apparently it's no different with OOTP 26.
If you watch the video, pay attention to the clip that is shown from 1:29-1:40. With a runner on 1st, there's a base hit to left field. When the left fielder gets the ball, pay attention to how quick the ball arrives to him, pay attention to where the base runner is, and notice how long the ball is in the left fielder's possession. By the time the base runner is half-way to 3rd base, the left fielder finally throws the ball to an infielder, and then the base runner rounds 3rd and then comes home. I'm sorry, but that just doesn't happen in real life in Major League Baseball. This type of stuff is what I wish would be addressed and fixed. It came up in prior versions of OOTP, and it's obviously still there in OOTP 26. Dynamic scoreboards mean nothing to me compared to this type of garbage that needs to be focused on. It's the 3d on-field action that I would like to see addressed, improved and fixed. After having pre-ordered this game a couple of weeks ago, and now after having seen this, I'm incredibly disappointed. |

Please lets see the new animations, it is a big part of the game for some of us. How about introducing a LOT of new ones.... it would be encouraging.

![]() This game is more than the in game 3D graphics. It's how deep the rest of the game is. This game is more about the numbers, getting the right staff, right players, and playing the number games over the graphics, cause really... if the graphics and the animations (Which are a small part of the game) are what is going to cause you to have regret, then I don't know.

Just because you don't sim games or care about sim watching games doesn't mean you should diminish someone else's feedback. We all play the game differently. |

First off, thank you to the team for implementing 3D animations a few years ago. Maybe it's been longer now! It's been very welcomed for those of us who grew up playing Microleague Baseball. I do agree that the play on the field is a matter of importance to a great many, including myself. Would love to see it continue to evolve, perhaps one day seeing a few different body types. I do appreciate the open communication at the very least. Good luck on the launch of the new game.

I get it. It's the 3D trying to replicate the pbp and sometimes it can't keep up and has to cheat a little. But still, it breaks the immersion. |
