Team(s) you want to run in OOTP 26?

Hey guys, as the title says, what team or teams are you stoked to start a game with in MLB? - or are you doing some Fictional Magic or Historical?

I am starting with MLB, I haven't made my mind up yet, but I am really excited about Tito Francona as Reds Manager in RL as well as OOTP. They should be interesting.
I also like the Tigers, Giants and Mariners.

What say you?

I have a fictional game I've been running since OOTP 22. I'm 24 seasons in and had a great time with it.

I am heavily leaning towards the Nationals but I have angels, Rockies, marlins on my mind. I want my next save to take me over multiple years of ootp games. But I am about 90% sure it will be Nationals

Preordered 26 today. So exited to just continue my Angels franchise. I started this as a short-term project, only wanting to get Trout some more playoff time in the last years of his career.

Now I'm in 2034, with Trout long gone, but I'm totally invested in this universe I've created. Coming of a super disappointing 2034 season, after a ALCS appearance in 2033, I'm pausing the game end October 2034 until OOTP 26 hits. I already want to start this offseason with the new dev. lab and scouting.

This will be the first time for me to carry a safe game forward. How long after launch should I wait to make the jump?

Los Angeles Angels, they now hold the longest playoff drought in the MLB at 10 seasons. It baffles my mind that a team that had Trout and Ohtani never made the postseason plus being in such a large market where money should not have been an issue. I’m excited to take them over and perhaps get Trout a ring and typically I play small market teams so having a big budget and money to spend is exciting for me.

St. Louis Cardinals. A young team that's in a rebuild mode.

This is my choice also. It would be nice if the veterans had agreed to waive their no-trade clauses, but maybe they will change their minds at the deadline (in my version).

I'm looking at the Pirates....that pitching staff with Skenes, Jones, Bubba, Harrington, etc should be fun. Just have to find a way to get some offense. I often use the Mets as well....the other side of the coin with regards to money! It actually could be fun to try and stop the Dodgers from making the World Series, though.

I WANT to be someone else this year the Braves are my favorite team and I just did 80 seasons with the braves in OOPTP25. I like the idea of a team with little history so you can rewrite the teams entire record book. That being said Tampa anybody in the AL central Reds and Pirates..... We will see Its hard to control a different team Im gonna try my best to do so this year!

Pirates for me

I'm going to start in the 30's and add Gibson, Leonard, Paige, and probably Matlock from the Crawfords/Grays, just to see what the Devs think of their potential in the majors.

That's when they were playing in Pittsburgh, right?
So that's a cool idea--integrate the Negro Leagues, but do it so that the white teams are effectively absorbing the NeL teams from the same city.

1989 Kansas City Royals or 1990 Kansas City Royals - with Bo Jackson of course.

Haven't decided which one I'll do yet. Maybe both.

Yep

Integrate baseball in 1935 or so. All the Crawfords and Grays available to the Pirates. All the Philly guys to the Phils and A's. All the NY guys to the Giants, Dodgers, and Yanks. And so on. Probably link the Monarchs to the Cards and Browns.
