*Attention* 2 spots filled, looking for 10 more members for new historical league.

*League Name: TBD* - League name will be determined via ballot by league members.

*League start-up details*
Established: 1899
Inaugural season: 1900
Number of teams: 12
Number of members: 12
(Members control their respected team)
(Members are also Commissioners)
All decisions regarding the teams and league progression will be voted on via ballot by the "Board of Commissioners.
League set-up, league changes and progression will be voted on via ballot by the "Board of Commissioners.

This league isn't just about the players stats, team stats, championships and all the other numbers associated with the simulation process. What makes this league different, is the story. Seasons will simulate like normal, whatever happens, happens. Where the members/Commissioners shine, is in the history they make for their team.

The 12 potential teams will need a city to call home. It's 1899, small cities, with small companies are looking to form teams for this new baseball league. These 12 teams will pave the way and keep this league going strong into the future. Name changes, team relocations and expansion teams are all on the table moving forward. Teams will not fold. If a member/Commissioner leaves, their team will move forward just like the others until a new member/Commissioner joins and they will have the option to keep the current team as is or change the name or relocate.

A few things to consider. This is a fictional league, however, the league will stay true to period likeness. With this league focusing on history and the story around the league, every detail plays a role. Research before making decisions. Choose what would make sense for your team if you wanted your team to be from a small city in Ohio. Even though you own the team, you need a sponsor/backer. Pennsylvania was booming in the steel industry, so maybe find a steel company that would be a sponsor/backer of your team. Details like this help paint a picture of your teams history.

Other helpful info to help you decide if this league is for you.
This league will deal with a lot of writing and story development. Logos, team colors, uniforms, these are all things that identify your team through the years. So if you are good with Photoshop, that will help you as well. OOTP25 experience...I am still learning the set-up features. So a few members with more knowledge would be greatly helpful to make sure the league itself runs smoothly during the season simulations as well as new season advancement.

With that being said, this isn't your typical baseball simulation league. This is a story that uses baseball simulation to fill in the blanks. The goal is to have a page where this leagues database will be held. Each team will have their own page dedicated to their teams history, their progression, player/season stats and awards and everything else that goes into that teams evolution. The league itself will have its own page dedicated to its history and progression. League Champions, season to season records, Hall of Fame inductees, league timeline...anything we can think of. From data to graphics. This is a huge project, but I think with the right members we can make more than just a simulation. We can create a new baseball reality of a league that never was.

I have some interest in this, even though i have never done an online league. I love putting stories to my fictional leagues and they are usually a fresh start in the early days of baseball. I enjoy writing and art and of course stats! haha!

One thing I enjoy about my baseball universes is finding interesting or local players and watching their career grow and sort of developing a story based on their life.

Well I have a team called the Cordova Coyotes based in Cordova, IL on the Mississippi River. And yes we have a lot of coyotes. We also have a nuclear power plant which would be a great sponsor but wouldn't fit with the 1900 theme. I understand we were a great lime producer in 1900.

I would be interested to know more about your league!
