Teams struggling with their budget?

Hello all. I have a fictional save in which about half of the teams are over budget. The most budget room anyone has is around five million dollars, and one team is over 100 million dollars over budget. Granted, this is 2057 and I have inflation changing yearly from -1% to 3%. I'm thinking about assigning fictional financials to teams based on current payroll, but I'm concerned about this harming the integrity of the save, given that most teams end up with ~50 million dollars in budget room once this operation is completed (in my save). Any ideas on how to proceed?

I had the same issue. I increased the national TV revenue. And the baseline for local revenue. Understand this is only a temporary fix because teams will continue to spend. The only real answer would be a hard cap. IMO. But I am never sure how to pick the number. Make every team under the cap or set some teams over? In real life, teams would have time to adjust, in OOTP only human managers have the fore knowledge.

.

What I want MLB to do is have a hard cap and a salary floor. Dodgers... Their payroll for 2025 is $525 MILLION when adding in their luxury tax. OMG !
The Marlins are at $43 million. It's a total joke.
Players union will never agree to a salary cap. And this deferred salary is crap as well.
And if owners can't afford to get to the floor ...sell or move the team to a different city.
