Hi some quick questions, I have only just discovered this boxing simulation.

I am struggling to quickly get up to speed with what I need to do to get the best experience from this vis-a-vis essential downloads and mods as I understand the game is no longer officially maintained and updated.

To date I've managed to purchase the game and install both the license and the latest patch

It's clear the roster finishes quite some time ago.

Do I simply create a new universe and:

• use the default database, plus the downloaded lists I've grabbed from here, or
• just create a universe using only the boxers from the downloads on this forum?

Any help folks still using this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome!


I suggest - take your time and explore the game slowly. Get to understand how all the different stats of the fighters work together, learn how to assign groups, and so on.


And of course, here on the board you will find a lot of threads ( for example this one:https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...splay.php?f=56) with a bunch of great universes from our members to get some ideas from.


We're always glad to see some new faces around!

I'll be back and forth as I slowly try to come to grips with it.

From what I gather, this is more simulator than a game?
As in, you select the inputs prefight, re fighters, trainer, cutman, fight rules, location and each fighters fight preparedness, and strategy and then just let em at it and watch on with no ability to change or alter the actual fight once it's on.

Forgive me if I've oversimplified, and am more than happy to be corrected.

Yeah. You're more like a fighter's manager. You set him up and match him to make the most of his abilities then put him in the ring and let whatever happens happen. You're in his corner and may give advice but it doesn't mean he's going to listen.

I've steered guys towards championship fights but they don't always make it there, or get there without stumbling.

Hi guys, are there any newer sets some legend has created for current boxers? For example heavyweights. I can see Anthony Joshua is in mine, but no Tyson Fury, Wilder or Usyk, and at lower weight divisions no Lomachenko, Gervonta, Charlo's, etc.

Waltercito, I get the following error message when i tried to install the following fighter files for James Braddock, Joe Orbillio, & Jimmy Wildman Harryman but was able to install the Martirosyan vanes fighter file with no problem ....here is the error messages i get on the other 3 fighters: i get the following error message when trying to install the above 3 fighter files : " Fatal Error reading.dat-file:Program terminated.
runtime error: Program...evelopments\Title Bout championship Boxing 2.5\tb2.5exe
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application s support team for more information
the fighter files are for : James Braddock, Joe Orbillio, James wildman Harryman the follow fighter file of Martirosyan Vanes that i downloaded did install with no problem can you tell me how to get the above fighter files to install into my TBCB ver 2.5.27 .....bbroham

Sorry for the late reply...here are the files that I have of the three fighters that give you trouble. Try them instead.

Honestly I don't know, I'd have to check each file individually.



The reason that the files IceTea posts don't work for you is because you - like me - have TBCB 2.5, while Ice's files are for 2013, (which I, like many, don't particularly like) and those are of a slightly different format.
