Do away with that ridiculous scam. I know they are all in on making money but this is absolute fiction. Get back to common-sense please!

It is a Perfect Team mechanic wherein if you pull or buy a special version of a card, it has slightly boosted stats, and you can keep boosting it by feeding cards from your collection into it up to a certain point. There's a thread on how it works here: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=355416

And what I will say is that yes, we will have these kinds of cards coming back for the next cycle, but with tons of user feedback taken into account throughout this past year (and some lessons learned), there will be plenty of tweaks to how they will work in a ton of different aspects.
I obviously can't reveal anything specific right now, but we'll more than likely have a Road to Release stream on that subject down the line, where we'll talk about that and be hands-on with the subject to make it as easy to understand as possible, but I can assure you, things will be very different with them heading into this next cycle that'll make them more user-friendly and accessible.

I tried PT for the first time in 2024, and bounced once I realized that you had to buy dozens of very specific cards (that weren't always available) just to complete with other teams. Only way to really get what you needed was to swipe that plastic. I'm looking forward to reading about the changes. I enjoyed listening to a few of the streamers last year and the game itself was fun. But having to pay money to complete in a game I already paid money for felt really bad. |

Paying for PP's
There are a number of people who are able to compete at the top level without swiping plastic. The avenues are:
1. Play tournaments. 1a. Quicks can be a regular source of packs once you get a team that can compete. Although unless you're doing the live tourneys, you will likely need to have some combinator cards. 1b. Dailies are similar, but with bigger payouts for winning and are less frequent. For example, I won two Low Diamond choice packs with an FTP team and the L10's for the two cards combined for 115K. 1c. Weeklies are even rarer and you can win Perfect choice packs if your team is good enough. 2. Play Perfect Drafts - similar to regular tournaments, but you don't need to own any cards; you will be given a selection of cards to draft from. One flaw is that everyone gets a different set of cards to draft from. But that's also good for those of us who do those infrequently, because we can always have a magic draft. 3. Speculate on revaluations of the Live cards. During the season, and in October after the season ends, all of the live card ratings are reviewed and many are revised. They can go up or down. There is usually a live stream recommending who to keep, who to sell, and who to buy. 4. Speculate on historical cards that are not yet in missions, they can go up 5-10X in value if the mission they are put in has a sufficiently desirable reward. 5. Watch the twitch streams, where you can receive 4 regular packs and a silver pack for watching an hour and a half stream. Some streamers are also permitted to award packs for responses to their stream. |

No more a scam as a 103 (2020) (SP) Dinelson Lament being in this game as he piched only 69 innings. Especially when I couldn't even get White Sox Hall of Famer cards...Just saying..I'm over it as season is about finished

In fairness, 69 innings in 2020 is the equivalent of 186 1/3 in a 162-game schedule.
