My save will not launch

I saved my game last night and as it did, I got an error message. When I went to relaunch the game, I got messages saying that the game was either in an older version or corrupt. From there I went through the steps as if it was from an older version. That didn’t work. So I was looking through the save game files, it seems likes everything BUT the world.dat file saved correctly and that’s limiting its ability to launch. I even have a last save file from only 5 minutes prior that is available but not sure how to operate that. Any help would be great, it’s my best OOTP save yet and hope to get it restored.

That did not work. I think it’s due to world.dat having 0 data scored. All other files have data in it. Could copying another world.dat file work?

The auto-save folder also has a world.dat that has zero data? hmmmmm. Not sure on this one. I used the forum search function to look for world dat missing and other key words, and most refer to the auto-save file restoration process I referenced.

yes, the world.dat file has 0 data in it. Even in both locations in the saves files. I made many copies to see if throwing in other saves files can work to see if it overrides but it does not.
