I'm researching baseball teams named 'Swamp Angels,' including those in Toledo, Greenville, Mobile, Poughkeepsie, West Nyack, and Great Neck. I've also found college and high school teams with this name. Can anyone recommend knowledgeable local historians who might have information on these teams, particularly those in Toledo, Greenville, Mobile, and Poughkeepsie? The Toledo Swamp Angels played for three seasons before eventually becoming the Mud Hens.

I wouldn't be able to recommend anyone specifically, but have you tried looking up and contacting people at local/county Historical Societies?

I'm from Southeast Minnesota, and the two Vintage Baseball revival teams that play there are connected to their county Historical Society.
