Pitchers and Batters Missing in 3D At Times

Does anyone know how to fix the missing pitchers and batters in the 3D animations. It never happened until OOTP25.

It occurs in the pitch screen and also in the action screen.

It does not happen a lot, but it happens enough to be annoying.

Hope some of you know the cause of these disappearing players and how to fix it.

I don’t. But it always seems to happen with substitutes. And then that player is visible again the following inning. Is that your experience too?

I never really looks at the circumstance when it happened. I'll see if it is when there is a substitute player and let you know.

The last game I played was the All-Star Game that has a lot of substitutions. You may be right.

I had the same issue, and what worked for me was enabling the 'Use Shadow' option in the game settings. Ever since I made that change, the problem hasn't occurred again. Now don't ask me what is the link between phantom players and shadows because I don't have the slightest clue...

Thanks, I will try that and see what happens. Mine has always been set at "no shadow".

This never happened before OOTP25.

Just curious... did that fixed your problem? I don't want to suggest this solution to others if it worked only for me for some unknown reasons.

I'm in an offseason right now, but already changed the shadow setting and planning to follow up after opening day!

I think the shadow trick should work. There seems to be a path it goes when that is selected that will "fix" the issue when facegens fail for select players.

I am getting ready to play my playoffs. I will use the "shadow" mode

Looks like you are right. Matt Arnold seems to think it will fix it.

I don't know why I didn't use the "shadow". Either way, you don't notice it in the game, but you really notice the missing players in the 3D animation.
