What is your longest losing streak for a pitcher.

I just noticed Stump Weidman for the 1886 Kansas City Cowboys
is 0-30 with an ERA of 6.26. He still has 21 starts to go.
Ouch.
His team is 10-64 and 501/2 GB as of 8/16/1886.

Looks like around 13th in the NL.
I don't think Weidman would have been a 20 game winner even on the 2 best teams.
However i think he might have won 10 games on a better team..
KC was really really bad.
I think they had losing streaks of 17, 21 and 22 games.

Unbelievable that he had more WAR than John Healy & John Kirby, epic season.

So far in 1887 he is 9-6 4.04 and a WAR of 1.7.
He's given up almost as many homer runs as he did in 1886.

But he also has Sam Thompson, Deacon White, Ned Hanlon,
Charlie Bennet and Dan Brouthers on the 1887 Detroit Wolverines.

1886 was a bad season for him too in my simulation but not as bad... but Kansas City won 20 more games in my world than in yours.

PS: As I know you play with real trade too... he won't end 1887 with the Detroit's powerhouse.

He won 20 games with 3 different teams in 1887.
Finished with 100-163 3.09 and a career war of 30.4.
The career pitching war leader in this sim so far is TIM Keefe at 77.31.

Using real rosters i ran into a slight problem in 1888.
Because Detroit folded after 1888 they released or traded some star players.
Problem was Detroit had made it to the series.
I just traded them back for the series and then redid the transactions after proceeding to next season.
Just something i need to keep in mind when using playoffs with real rosters for the 19th century.

At least you noticed it... I didn't and Detroit played the first game of the series with a very bad lineup (good thing I was checking the game box score after the game simulated them).

When Sam Thompson, Deacon White, Dan Brouthers and Charlie Bennett are missing from the lineup its not hard to notice.
They actually won the series in my sim and then folded in 1889.
Might be like the Yankees losing Judge, Stanton, Volpe to go along with losing Soto.
Btw Deacon had a heck of season for a 40 yr old in my sim.
Led the league with 213 hits and batted .353
