FHM12 - Facegen Megapack

Last updated: 6th February 2026 Facegens for Standard and Historical games, NHL plus everything else, with exception of North American Junior and College/University leagues. Latest update includes Facegens for all players on current NHL protected lists. Also all players on the 2026 Futures List, minus one Estonian player I couldn't find a photo of. I've also checked all players from NHL drafts back to 2017 are included. Additionaly several thousand historical players have been cleaned-up and improved. I'll update this going forward.
The only FHM11 updates so far are any recent NHL updates by Pontuzzza , plus around 1400 historical AHL players and NHL draft picks that I have added. For perspective, that doesn't even include any players born after 1970 , so may take a while! |

Quick question - does adding all these to the game slow down the simulation speed? It is up to 45K images so thought I'd ask. If so, would it be possible to have these in folders by league or at least have the historical ones separated from the current day ones so we can use the ones that apply to the game we are running? Thanks.* |

When a player image is viewed for the first time in your game, FHM creates a player_pic record. That will either be a fictional image, or will use a facegen if one exists. So if you never view the teams/players in a particular league , the game will never generate a player_pic for them. The more players you view the more pics get created, so in theory it might make the game slightly slower over time, but I've never noticed this. Also you can just delete player_pic records from your games graphics/player_pics folder. The game will then regenerate them next time you view the players record. |

Update - added roughly 5000 historical minor league players
and NHL draft picks. Completed up to July 1st 2000 start, but that was before WHL and IHL was added. So still have most of those to do, plus post-2000 starts. Also started doing cleaned up and improved versions of many players to remove generic looks. Should look more like the actual player now! |

for historical games . Covers up to 2010 starts. Also some improved and cleaned up versions |

Does the number of face gen files affect game speed? I assume since the game caches pictures once created it doesn't but thought I'd ask.

Copy into Facegen folder and overwrite anything that's in there.
You can skip any that are same date and filesize. |

I cant get it to work. I tried place all the files in the facegen folder both inside the original map and without it. Also tried to place the files in the other maps related to player images, both in the steam directory and the ones in my files. I cant seem to get it to work. Would appriciate a step by step for dummies. Thanks.
