The comeback attempt by Carlos Ortiz may have been dealt a fatal blow, as he gave up eight runs in five innings.

The White Sox beat the Blue Jays, 8-3.

Jermey Hinton and Chris Perrot homered for Toronto.

Zach Eflin allowed only one hit in five scoreless innings.

The Jays beat the Spiders 2-1 off home runs by Sixto Rodriguez and Jeremy Hinton.

Grant Lester's first home run of the game tied it up in the 9th and forced extra innings. His second gave the Jays a, 11th inning, 7-5, walk off win over the Red Sox.

Octavio Hernandez had a terrible outing, giving up eight runs in less than four innings.

The rest of the team did better but the Jays still lost, 8-6, to the Royals.

The Blue Jays power game was on point. Grant Lester, Michael Perez, Sixto Rodriguez, and Michael Morrow all homered. Add that to a solid start by Julio Reyna and four perfect innings in relief by Jim Anderson and Raul Alvarado and it equals a 9-1 win over the Angels.
