The 1871 League (name subject to chang) is a historical league currently forming in its infancy. We have a group of seven GMs and are looking to fill out the final two teams prior to the inaugural draft. As of now, the Cleveland Forest Citys and Rockford Forest Citys remain open.
Come rewrite all of history with us! FYI - Injuries are set to LOW Draft pick trading is ON Rookie Draft is ON Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to join! https://atl-02.statsplus.net/delisports/freeagents/ |

DeliSports Online League
https://atl-02.statsplus.net/delisports/standings/
We're just getting started. Brand new OOTP25 league that starts when baseball first became organized as a professional sport. Get in on the ground floor. Our commish is new and has written about his background: "While I've never run an OOTP League before, I do have experience running community leagues like this with my company DeliSports. Within DeliSports, we have ran many leagues, but primarily a football league on instagram (@deli.league). I am currently not running that league manually anymore as my team and I finalize building a new system and website that intends to, among many other things, allow that league's sim engine to be completely automated and no longer need my daily attention and work. My big thing with running leagues is always following and tracking detailed statistics and compiling interesting league history reports that tell a story, and that is a massive reason why I have always enjoyed OOTP. My primary reason for creating this league is to create a fun environment where we can recreate baseball history in our own strategic ways and I look forward to participating in this league with all of you!" If you wish, you can contact the commish at his email: chriscapital77@gmail.com Last edited by BugsSpalding; 11-07-2024 at 09:11 PM. Reason: addition |

Have you guys played 19th century baseball extensively in OOTP?
I typically start my games in 1871. You are starting with 9 teams and injuries set to low and that sounds like trouble waiting to happen. I keep injuries off, and I expand like this: 1871-1875: 4 teams 1876-1881: 8 teams 1882-1891: 12 teams 1892-1900: 16 teams If you set up the team IDs correctly for all 16 teams in the preseason of 1900 and turn on auto-expansion the league will automatically arrange itself into the historical league structure of 1901 and you can use auto-expansion and real schedules and the ballparks, and everything will update properly. |
