Transfers between AHL and NHL
Don't know if this is a bug but AHL teams seem to be transferring players to non-affiliated NHL teams
This is in the second season of a standard playthrough |

LA > Ontario > Greenville is okay.
Or are you thinking Adirondack - Boston? Because if that's the case, I think you're misreading/misinterpreting it. He signed as a Free Agent with Adirondack - and then signed a contract with Boston - which is why he's transferred to Boston.

Yeah, it gets classified as a transfer because of the way it's handled internally - when the NHL signs a player from a European league (at least one that's a part of the transfer agreement system) or the WHL/OHL/QMJHL, they have to pay a small transfer fee, and it gets recorded as a transfer. And signings of players contracted in other leagues work exactly the same way mechanically, except there's no fee.
