SKYBOX for sundown/ evening

HI ...

I love that you have added the ability to customize the stadium backdrop by adding a skybox directory and appropriate files.

I always play the game in featured mode.. so I really appreciate the added and variation realism.

I have gone so far as to having a bunch of skyboxes in a separate folder/ Having one of them randomly copied my home stadium through a batch file I click on before starting the game

My Questions are:
#1- Is there a skybox folder assigned for the "evening" / sundown. Or are skyboxes only for 'Day' / "Night'

#2 If there is no evening/sundown sky box... where is the sundown image stored and can it be substituted..

#3. If there a "default" folder in the ballparks directory where skyboxes can be placed so that all ballparks that do not have their own local sky box sub folders draw from?

I see a /ballparks/Default_Major folder with a sky box..
Is that the place??? I tried simply replacing those files does .. But not seem to have any effect

Ok.. I have the answers to some of my own questions. I am sharing as others may have the same question.

The default folder for all those stadiums that do not have their own skybox folder is....

As far as question #1

sky_box_evening does not work. It looks like when you are on the Ballpark model screen and if you select the "evening" option... the game pulls up the sky_box_night skybox files and if none exist then it uses the background graphic OOTP Baseball24\ data\ballparks\models\misc\backgrounds\evening_sky .jpg"

So I am reporting this as a bug.

The game should attempt to find the 'sky_box_evening" file set not use 'sky_box_night' when the 'time of day' selection is 'evening;'

It's not a bug. It's never been implemented.

I could be wrong and and you certainly have been around the game longer than I..

But, when I select 'evening' from the drop down options on the stadium 3D model screen the behavior is repeatable based on whether or not there is a folder, so something is happening

If the is a sky_box_night subfolder it will use it. (wrong in IMHO)

If not the game will default to the orange graphic in OOTP Baseball24\ data\ballparks\models\misc\backgrounds\evening_sky .jpg"

I am guessing that there is a mistake in the code that equates the 'evening' option to look for a directory named sky_box_night rather than sky_box_evening, And may be a very simple fix. Just based on the observation that the background does change if sky_box_night subfolder exists. so the game is seeing a skybox.

which seems like a bug. Hopefully its an easy change for the OOTP developers.. as I really like the sunset transition and also some of the night sky boxes and would hate to have to have only one or the other

As Ty Cobb had mentioned above, the lack of an evening skybox is not actually a bug, just a feature that hasn't been implemented(yet).

You mean there's hope? C'mon, man...cheer me up on this one...please! I'll find some lovely skies for it. Things are quickly and sadly headed towards resolution on the home front. I will welcome the distraction at that point, and the lovely and gracious Mrs. Cobb is very supportive, but has a rigorous job testing other interpreters.
