With FHM 11 can I still simulate and view games using Classic Mode ?

Yes, there was a bug that was preventing viewing them in classic mode, but that was fixed in last night's hotfix.

I am a bit confused on how one sets up a classic mode or 2D? What is the difference? I did download the latest hotfix. Thanks for any info.

You choose it via the menu shown in this screenshot - depending on which engine you choose it will take you to a different in game interface when you opt to 'Play Game' instead of 'Sim Game'. There are also some differences when using it purely for simulation and not viewing, last year the offense ran a little higher in the 2d engine than in the classic.
