Draft Bonus

Six or seven years into my sim the bonus demands of every drafted player became zero. I'm not sure if I did something to change that accidentally but I can't find the setting to change it. My first thought was League Settings > Financials but I'm just not seeing it. Help is appreciated!

The Draft Settings are under League Settings --> Rules.

There is a checkbox on whether to "Enable Advanced Draftee Signing (Signing Bonus Negotiations)" and then a "Slot Bonus Baseline" amount option if that option has been activated.

Thank you. I have the "enable" box checked but I have the baseline set to $0, which I assume is my problem. Do you know what the default baseline is?

Not sure if that would work but maybe the "baseline" will go to default if you disable and enable it again...

Just tried it, but it went back to zero. Good suggestion though. I don't even have a general idea of what I should set it to.

What year? I'll just create a game and tell you. Or you can start a different game in the same year and note it and then return to the main save, but that's the best way to know the number the game defaults to.

I'm in 2032 right now.

I noticed that I had no negotiations in 2031 and looked around for the settings, but I didn't think I changed anything so I guess I figured it was a fluke where the draftees didn't ask for anything over slot. Probably a stupid thing to assume.

Well, I have a sim at default settings going to 2032. We'll see what the $4.5m baseline from 2024 inflates to. Give a few to run...

I thought the number there might inflate but that baseline seems to be the core number itself, and inflation just layers atop it (as it still is $4.5m). The default inflation is a random number between 0% to 2%. So, if the $4.5m inflated at 1% for 8 years, it would be $4,872,855.

Try it with $4.5 and if that seems low (b/c it lost the inflation on the resetting of the number), move it to $4.9m
