After a three-game winning streak the Sox have lost two in a row, bringing the club's record to 36-117.

With 9 games left to play:

7-2 to finish 43-119 and avoid the Mets' 120 losses
4-5 to finish 40-122 and equal the Mets' 40 wins
2-7 to finish 38-124 and have a winning percentage lower than that of the 1916 Athletics

I've been trying to explain to non-baseball fans for years now how insanely talented this guy is, but this takes the cake. Not only can he both hit and pitch great, but he's now also the greatest power and speed guy ever? Even I have trouble comprehending it.

What gets me is that people kept giving him the mvp cause he hit & pitched. Yes, the numbers were good, but the W/L wasn't. But fans ignored it cause the argument was, no one does both.

This year, not only doesn't he pitch, he doesn't even field. All he does is hit. And they are going to give him the MVP again. Versatility was the argument before. Now they aren't considering his limits as a factor now.

Half the time Ohtani is too injured to pitch. Any team that has him on the staff needs a six-man rotation, because he needs an extra day's rest. Ohtani gets too tired out from having to swing a bat four times a day.
