Uniform Lock

Ok, help me out here. When doing a long sim, each year there might be new uniforms. If I have the "Lock team logos and textures" will the update the new uniforms or keep the same?

"Lock team logos and textures" does exactly what it says right there in the brackets - when checked, it prevents auto-update. Nothing more, nothing less. Do you want logos and textures remain the same? Lock them.

OK thanks. Do you know when then the update happens? I am assuming at the end of the calendar year.......

I don't want to misinform you - so I can't say when at what time exactly game checks for this update, I have never had to pay attention to this specific detail. I don't see how it matters, because if you want to "freeze" logos in time, do it right away, do it now. What's the point of waiting for a certain date? If you want logos automatically changing according to times in your save - leave this setting unchecked and move on to something else, no?
