Cool Longest Winning Streak

My Chicago Cubs team in 1992 just got off of a 23 game winning streak. This was 1/4 of the schedule because I play an 84 game season. I thought I wouldn't be very good this year because I cut my payroll down to 37 million. I now have an 18 1/2 game lead in the division. Has anyone had a winning streak of this length?

Not too sure about length b/t losses, but i got of to a 40-5 start with Seattle (real players, but not original rosters..went with a draft). I think my longest streat was around 21, give/take a few.

Had a winning streak of 26, but only after I edited the players some. (Example, Chipper Jones was getting an average of .221 for the year, so i upped his stats for a while till his average got back up to around .310 and then put the stats back down to what I thought he really was)

I just finished a season with a 134-28 mark. At one point I was 99-19. I had a 22 game win streak snapped with a 2-1 12 inning loss. Thats the longest I have seen. I have had numerous win streaks around 20 games.

On the other side of this, I just simmed through the 1981 season (full 162 games) and both of my local teams -- the Giants and A's -- had losing streaks of 16 games in July. The A's (who went to the ALCS in real life) finished 63-99, two games ahead of the last-place Twins. And actually, the Giants' losing streak was 17 games. Those are the longest streaks of either kind I've experienced so far. Think the longest winning streak to date is 14.

16 straight losses for my 1922 Brooklyn Dodgers was not a pretty thing. #2 starter Dazzy Vance goes down with an injury & I go from 2 under .500 to 18 under. Get him back & suddenly everybody can pitch again, winning 7 straight & 13 out of 14. Go figure.

My longest winning streak has been 14, with a massively retooled 70's era Braves team led by FA signee Bobby Murcer.

We were at .500 before the streak started, too...
