Modern Ebbets Field (Fictional)

This time, I'm trying something a little different. Modern Ebbets Field is a fictional stadium designed for Blindsay's IBL Brooklyn Beats. More information of his world can be found here: https://boards.sportslogos.net/topic...shed/#comments

I had the chance to visit the site of Ebbets Field home plate marker many years ago. The concept of a new Ebbets Field on the exact same spot immediately came to my mind. However, I am going to shift the stadium slightly to allow more room beyond right field.

The goal is to build a modern day 40,000 seat stadium while keeping some of elements from the original. Also, the stadium style must fit Brooklyn's vibe. Here are some of the things to look for when playing in "Modern Ebbets Field":

- Lights and scoreboards are held up by beams shaped like a bridge
- The original Ebbets Field scoreboard is kept as a momento from the past. Instead of being part of the wall, it has been moved behind the seats since we now have more room there
- Combination of old and new: Infield structure is more faithful to the original (but not exactly the same), while the outfield design is completely new.
- Field dimension is not the same, but similar in concept (340 to the left, 400 to center, and 310 in right with taller wall)

All my creative juices are spent so I can't think of a better name. I'll just call it Modern Ebbets Field. I had a lot of fun creating it and also feel that this might be a significant addition. Now anybody with a fictional Brooklyn team in their league can have a cool home stadium to play in.

Yoooooo, this is pretty good and a great modern take on Ebbets! Might use this for a fictional league I've been plotting for years. Kudos!

Excellent idea. Love the old and new mixed. I'll pass on a Schaefer Beer though.

Okinawa Cellular Stadium

I have always wanted to put an expansion team in Okinawa, Japan. The biggest stadium there is Cellular Stadium in Naha and I had been looking at it for MANY YEARS. It's not very complex but that roof (oh boy... that roof) is a HUGE pain to do. After many failed attempts and lessons learned, I finally did it! Needless to say, finally finally finally being able to share this stadium is a tremendous joy for me Finally.......

Very nice! To my surprise, this ballpark has a capacity of 30,000.

I think the actual seating capacity is 15,000 (from some Japanese websites). 30k is probably counting standing room or the additional crowd that can be squeezed into the outfield grass area?

You can certainly do that! I put some Japanese ads on the OF walls. If you don't want those, just go to texture folder and change all ADs textures to transparent.

Maybe add a semi-dome version (like the Seibu Dome) to cover up the field a bit more since it is an island (possible rain or tsunami)?

F_C, you've been on fire lately. Modern Ebbets looks great, and Okinawa Cellular is a must-have for any JPBO fans.

AT&T Field

This is the current home of the Double A Southern League team Chattanooga Lookouts.

The defining feature of the stadium is the high outfield walls, estimated at 20 feet tall (from one of the articles I found on the internet), and also most of the seats are on the first base side. I think the Lookouts are actively working with the city to build a new stadium, so this one might be gone in a few years.

Preview Pictures

There is a homerun train hiding behind the wall here and no one will ever see it in a game. I still put it in just for fun

I'll just replace them with ads from area businesses. Maybe if I get off my backside and do my Lower Peninsula League, I can sell the adspace?

Thanks for doing these. They are by far the best stadiums we have had for several years! Sorry, probably sacrilegious, but I took your New Ebbets field and changed some of the graphics for my fictional Charlotte Red Wolves expansion team so I see your work 81 games a year (at least). Amazing.

As an aside, since you are doing some minor league stadiums can I put in a request to have Raley Field in Sacramento re-branded with Athletics logos/ads? Will be interesting to see how OOTP handles that next year but yours are as good as any in game options in my opinion.

Glad you like my stadiums and find enjoyment out of them

As for Raley Field (or now known as Sutter Health Park), Eriqjaffe had done a great job here: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...&postcount=271

Try it out first and see if you can modify the textures to fit the Athletics theme that you want.

Lowe's Park (Fictional)

Next up is another fictional stadium for Blindsay's IBL Charlotte Royales franchise. His lore calls for a modern and realistic retractable roof stadium, with around 48,000 seating capacity. There's even a Fortune 500 company who obtained the naming right of the ballpark already, thus the name -- "Lowe's Park".

Preview Pictures

The exterior of the stadium, with openings that allow some of the city to be visible from inside the building

Lowe's Park must feel modern, state of the art, while maintaining sound/solid structure

The ballpark needs to have a big screen scoreboard with all the latest bells and whistles

Infield feels spacious, surrounded by plenty of luxury boxes, concession stands, and shopping options available

Center of the roof can be opened, as shown in the screenshot. The stadium also faces downtown Charlotte for a great view of the city skylilne.

In-game examples of the retractable roof feature. Right now, it is set to open during the day, and closed for evening/night games.

Estadio Francisco Montaner

This is a multi-purpose stadium in Ponce, Puerto Rico. It opened in 1949, and has been used for Track & Field, Baseball, Soccer, and concerts.

The baseball field is clearly laid out on top of a track and field ground, and thus, they have to use artificial turf. Estadio Francisco Montaner is the home of Leones de Ponce (LBPPR). During baseball games, parts of the left field stands are blocked off and the model reflects that.
