Can you force a call up or force start somebody if you are not in control of lineups and promotions or demotions? I really dont like dealing with all that and I have a stud 21 year old to start year 3.5 stars 80 fielder at 1B with 70 contact already. Somehow my coach thinks the current starter is more valuable to start season...

Should be able to do that from the individual player strategy settings. As long as your the GM of the team and not acting as.

Click on the player strategy tab and there are options to lock to level and force start at specific position.
