Owner Mode

If you are like me, you most likely suck at doing anything regarding your manager duties. Additionally, when I give out contracts I often give them Max Scherzer type contracts, and they turn out to be just like Max Scherzer! Now this sucks, and the AI would be much better at handling all of this.

Now this leads to my suggestion, Owner Mode.

What this means, is that you are the owner of a baseball team. Doesn't have to be a MLB team just yet, you can start off with any team above A ball. What does being an owner mean? You have to set goals for the manager, and GM if you're in the MLB. Lets say you own the Toledo Mud, and you want the manager to play a player more often, you can either tell him that, or sit back and just let the revenue come in. At the end of the season, you can spend that money on:

Renovating your ballpark
Setting up promotional games
Marketing

Lets say you owned a MLB team, what you would do is:

Set up the budget
- Say you made $255M in 1 season, you decide to raise your existing budget by $45M. Or you make only $180M and decide to lower your budget

Pay for stadium and front office expenses, such as staff and benefits for the FO.
- Lets say you work for an MLB team, if the owner is John Fisher, you'd likely want to quit, and at the very least, you'd be so bummed out that your productivity was down. In OOTP this can be represented by having the willingness for staff to accept contract extensions, and for the fans to keep going to the ballpark as long as its well maintained.

Now ultimately, owning an MLB team isn't exactly what OOTP is about. But personally, I think that this would make for an interesting experiment for the devs to take on, and it might be another ITP case. Either way, I think it'd be neat to have in a future OOTP.

I've been wanting something like this so bad to the point where I am learning how to program so that I can create something like this, it's a far stretch right now but I'd like to make something like this in the future. In the meantime, it would be fun if OOTP implemented a ownership mode, I want total control of the baseball club.
