Pitch to contact with High Stuff?
Has anyone tried this strategy?
Say you have a pitcher with incredible stuff who struggles with walks/ pitch count. Can you pitch to contact to decrease walks (probably decrease K's as well?) |

Is this with fictional or historic players?
I can see this having an effect with fictional players. However with historic players it having an effect is contrary to the the OOTP goal of matching historic performance. So I wonder how much of an effect this (and the strategy sliders) can have in a game with historic players. |

I'd be curious to see the results of that in OOTP if someone were to do some thorough testing of it.
I will say, IRL the best case scenario for those kind of guys usually ends up being journeyman who bounces from one team to the next as every team always will have a scout or two that think they know the trick to unlocking him.... and then after a few years of bouncing around they end up out of the league. |

Yes, it would need to be tested. Because the devs don't know. Hopefully there would be enough signal amidst the noise that there would be an answer.
