The Washington Americans' season took a hit as pitcher Dick McBride left the game against the Cleveland Royals with an arm injury. McBride was in his 10th inning when he pulled up sharply, prompting the team to replace him immediately.

Detroit's Jack Rowe a Game-Time Decision After Strained Hip Muscle

Name: player_3740.png
Views: 191
Size: 29.1 KB

Detroit team officials are closely monitoring star catcher Jack Rowe, who suffered a strained hip muscle in yesterday's game against the Chicago Cardinals. There is speculation that Rowe might be scratched from today’s lineup, though he has downplayed the severity of the situation.

"I’m not expecting to miss a lot of time," Rowe stated, "but I won’t risk further injury by playing until I’m fully ready."

For now, Rowe is listed as day-to-day and will be evaluated on a game to game basis. His absence could be significant for the Detroit lineup, given his current performance this season. Rowe is batting .259 with 48 hits, 4 home runs, 23 RBIs, and 29 runs scored, while maintaining a .278 on-base percentage.

Size: 28.5 KB

Philadelphia Thunder's Chub Collins has been dealt a significant blow as his season comes to an abrupt halt due to an injury sustained in today’s win over the Pittsburgh Predators. Collins suffered a high ankle sprain during a collision at the base, and doctors have confirmed he will be sidelined for approximately four weeks.

As a result, Collins has been placed on the injured reserve by the Thunder. His absence will be felt, though his season had been modest by his standards. Collins has started 19 of his 23 games this year and is hitting .161 with 4 runs and 5 RBIs.

The Thunder will need to adjust their lineup in Collins' absence and hope for a swift recovery for the utility player.
