No Player of the Month Awards

I am running a southern hemisphere fictional league, with a schedule that goes from early October to April and I have noticed there are no awards announced as Hitter of the Month, Pitcher of the Month or Rookie of the Month. Does anyone know if that's because I am operating outside the "usual" timeframe? Or is there an option for activating these awards which I have missed?

You may need to change what mail you're receiving in your manager preferences.

Thanks, snepp, I've just checked that. I don't manage an individual team, but I've got ticks in all the boxes to subscribe to league news.

What is your stats level set to.. Low, Normal, High or Very High.

I ask because I once reported a bug with Player of the Month and it was caused by my stats level being set to Low. At that level, the game didn't keep the monthly splits so maybe they disabled the awards at that level.

Thanks for responding, uruguru. Stats are set to Normal. The league has run since 1901 and we are now in 1946. I haven't followed in detail, I just wanted to build up a history, before looking more closely. Checking back on some of the prominent players historically, it looks like the monthly awards were never given, which answers my question about whether it might be due to the fact that the league has just had a 6 year break for WW2. The only other thing that occurs to me is if it's to do with the October to April schedule. Has anyone else, who runs a southern hemisphere league, seen the same thing?

AND I just played out the Championship Series, in which no Player of the Game was awarded, nor was a Series MVP! BUT an MVP was named in each of the Semi-Final Series.....

Are you sure that you have AI voting turned on for the awards? It's in the League Settings.

Yes, that's on for the season awards, which are being allocated with no problem. At the moment, there is no Hall of Fame [I'll be setting that up in a few game years time], so there is no tick in the box to allow AI voting for the HoF.

I've just completed the first month of the next season and.... the three monthly awards - Hitter, Pitcher and Rookie - have all been awarded!!! Curiouser and curiouser

just circling back to this because in my first season of a fictional quickstart i made i am getting zero weekly awards 4 weeks into the year. checked all settings of my mail nothing seems off compared to previous experiences. Never had it happen before. seems off. I have everything checked for news that you can.

Yes, the weekly awards were also absent and now, in the second season since I resumed, they are also back, as well as the monthly ones. I haven't been able to come up with an explanation.
