First year player draft

Hi there, I am about to enter the offseason for the first time playing OOTP 25. In OOTP 22 the first year player draft was always in December but in 25 I do not see it listed at all.
Did I neglect to enable something or is there no draft anymore in 25?

Draft is in the middle of the season by default.

Did you import your league?

You'll have to check your league settings. The draft options are under the "Rules" section I believe.

In historic games it is now in November so that it happens before FA and does not interfere with comp picks. In a new 2024 season or live it is in July.

To follow up, I enabled the draft and set the date but the player pool is empty as I show in the screenshot I attached.
Is this something I messed up on? Or did I enable it too late as I noticed that a lot of young players suddenly were added to my rookie leagues as if the draft had taken place and the players were placed on the teams that had drafted them in reality (ex. Darryl Strawberry was placed in the rookie league for the Mets).
Is there something more I need to do? Or is this something that will work the way I want it to in the NEXT offseason?
