standard game schedule from 2025 on

In the standard game, even after yesterdays patch, weekend series run from saturday thru monday. Lots of Fridays off...is there anything that can be done about this?

I was dealing with similar issues last evening. Entering 2027, my schedule had 3 different instances where my team had 4 consecutive days off. Took me 30 minutes of regenerating a schedule to find one usable.

OOTP's default scheduler cannot schedule interleague games.

Assuming no changes to the league or scheduling parameters, OOTP by default should reuse the 2023 and 2024 MLB schedule files, reshuffling the teams around the schedule slots like it normally would. But for some reason it doesn't do that. Don't know why. Programming oversight, I presume.

Four consecutive off days: isn't that the All-Star break? Or was it just for one specific team

Nope, league wide. 3-4 occasions where the entire league was on a 3-4 day break (not including all star break). Was very weird, and quite frustrating.

Can't believe we are in June and this still hasn't been addressed. OOTP got this right in every prior version I've ever played.

OOTP 23 also had issues in future years, but that was a special case.

My schedule always breaks after the first season. No changes to league structure or anything, but it automatically shifts to 150 and 153 game schedules for the teams, which throws the whole game apart. Can't generate a fictional schedule with 162 games for every team, regardless of schedule settings. Absolutely unacceptable for a game two and a half months post-launch.

I expanded the league and get the 153 game schedule with many off days also. Any suggestions on how to fix this besides a patch?

Not yet. Schedule still gets out of whack. Also, Triple-A doesn't get Mondays off and plays every day except for the all-star break. Complex leagues don't have off on Sundays and the season ends too early.

Thank to user Le Grande, i figured out you have to change the schedule to the 2023 schedule and force start on Thursdays to get it back to a normal schedule where mondays and thursdays are off days

Go to Game Settings>League Settings>Options>Edit League Schedule...then click "actions" in the top right, and then "Import from File".

Import the file highlighted in the picture and keep Force start on Thursday. It will revert back to the 2023 format and return to normal Monday/Thursday offdays.

What happens with the 2024 is it still tries to schedule an "overseas" game on March 20, which is now a Friday in 2025.

You can also make an edited copy of the 2024 MLB schedule file which moves the early overseas openers to later in the schedule, thereby converting it into a 'normal' schedule using the same 'balanced' format as the 2023 season. I'd suggest the following:

Wed. Mar. 20 -- LAN at SDN -- move to Thu. Aug. 1 -- 6:40 pm local time start
Thu. Mar. 21 -- SDN at LAN -- move to Thu. Apr. 11 -- 7:10 pm local time start

The opening day of the season now becomes Thu. Mar. 28.
