Game 1
Padres 5, Rockies 7 W-Jesus Luzardo (1-0, 6.00) L-Yu Darvish (0-1, 27.00) S-Alex Cobb (1, 4.50) HR- SD- Manny Machado (1) COL-Ronald Acuna Jr. (1), Hunter Goodman (1), Mike Trout (1), Kris Bryant (1) The Rockies jumped all over Darvish and the Padres early, with 6 runs in the first 3 innings. Hunter Goodman got things going with a 3 run shot in the first, before Trout and Bryant each added solo shots of their own in the 2nd. Alex Cobb finished the 2 inning save. Game 2 Padres 6, Rockies 7 W-German Marquez (1-0, 0.00) L-Yuki Matsui (0-1, 9.00) HR- SD-Ha-Seong Kin (1) COL-Kris Bryant (2), Ezequiel Tovar 2 (2) The Rockies jumped on starting pitching early again with another 1st inning 3 run shot, this time coming from Kris Bryant off Matthew Boyd. Tovar added on in the 4th with a 2 run shot, but the Padres were able to tie the game thanks to Kim's 3 run homer in the 6th, where they remained deadlocked until Tovar's second home run of the game in the 8th inning off close Yuki Matsui broke the tie, sending the Padres home in a sweep |

Game 1
Cardinals 5, Cubs 4 W-Ryan Helsley (1-0, 0.00) L-Luke Little (0-1, 9.00) HR- STL-Dylan Carlson (1), Nolan Arenado (1), Tommy Edman (1) CHC-Nico Hoerner (1), Owen Caissie (1) The Cubs got to Chris Bassitt early, with a pair of 2 run shots in the first inning. But from there on they could get zip, while the Cardinals would slowly work their way back into the game. Rookie close Luke Little came in looking for the 2 inning save but allowed a pair of solo shots, Dylan Carlson to tie it in the 8th and Tommy Edman for the lead an inning later. Game 2 Cardinals 8, Cubs 4 W-Kenyan Middleton (1-0, 3.38) L-Ben Brown (0-1, 3.38) S-Giovanny Gallegos (1, 0.00) HR- STL-Jordan Walker 2 (2) CHC-None Jordan Walker got to rookie Ben Brown twice, hitting 2 bombs and driving in 7 runs total. Turned into a bullpen game for the Cardinals as Kyle Gibson left in the 2nd inning with a back injury, but they held it down to send their rivals home early. |

Game 1
Mariners 4, Astros 7 W-Ryan Pressly (1-0, 0.00) L-Luis Castillo (0-1, 1.42) S-Josh Hader (1, 0.00) HR- SEA: Luke Raley (2) HOU: Jacob Melton (1) Bad defense costs the Mariners in game 1, as one error leads to a 3 run homer by RF Jacob Melton (98 OPS+) to give the Stros a lead. The Mariners would battle back, but another error costs them the lead again for good. Game 2 Mariners 1, Astros 7 W- Lance McCullers Jr. (1-0, 1.50) L-Bryce Miller (0-1, 5.14) S- Scott Barlow (1, 0.00) HR- SEA-None HOU-None This one was all Houston. Timely hitting leads to a 2-0 series lead. Scott Barlow works 3 scoreless frames for the save, Game 3 Astros 10, Mariners 3 W-Justin Verlander (1-0, 1.50) L-George Kirby (0-2, 4.85) S-Josh Hader (2, 0.00) HR- SEA-Mitch Haniger (1) HOU-Alex Bregman (1), Kyle Tucker (1), Jose Altuve (1) Bregman and Altuve got to Kirby early in the game and the Mariners couldn't really recover. A 2 run homer by Mitch Haniger brought the Mariners to within 2 at one point, but the Stros scored 5 times in the 9th, capped off by a Kyle Tucker grand slam to nail the coffin |

Rays 3, Twins 7 W-Chris Paddack (1-0, 5.06) L-Aaron Civale (0-1, 10.12) HR- TB: None MIN: Willi Castro (1) Aaron Civale gets hit around for 6 runs in 5.1 innings, and the Twins bullpen takes care of business (3.2 IP, no runs on 2 hits) to secure game 1 Game 2 Rays 5, Twins 3 W-Paul Seward (1-0, 0.00) L-Nick Martinez (0-1, 7.71) S-Johnathan Loaisiga (1, 4.50) HR- TB- Alex Jackson (1), Brandon Lowe (1), Jose Siri (1) MIN- Byron Buxton (1) The Rays gets to Nick Martinez early, with 3 home runs to even up the series Game 3 Twins 3, Rays 0 W-Joe Ryan (1-0, 0.00) L-Drew Rasmussen (0-1, 3.12) S-Griffin Jax (1, 5.40) HR- MIN-Manuel Margot (1) TB-None Joe Ryan dominates, allowing just 1 hit over 6 innings while striking out 9. Manuel Margot burns his former team with a 2 run shot in the 6th Game 4 Twins 2, Rays 5 W-Zach Eflin (1-0, 2.38) L-Louis Varland (0-1, 10.38) S-Jason Adam (1, 0.00) HR- MIN-Royce Lewis (1) TB-None Jose Caballero provided the thunder with a bases clearing triple in the 2nd and theRays never looked back. Eflin allowed just 2 runs on 2 hits over 7 innings to force game 5 Game 5 Rays 9, Twins 2 W-Jeffrey Springs (2-0, 2.04) L-Chris Paddack (1-1, 11.12) S-Jason Adam (2, 0.00) HR- TB-Brandon Lowe (2), Randy Arozarena (2) MIN-Gio Urshela (1) Chris Paddock was shelled in just .1 innings of work, allowing 4 runs. Jeffrey Springs allowed just 2 runs on 7 hits in 6 innings of work. The Twins were able to keep things relatively close until the 9th inning, when Randy Arozarena blasted a 3 run shot to send the Rays to the ALCS |

Game 1
Rockies 4, Braves 8 W-Max Fried (1-0, 3.00) L-Zac Gallen (0-1, 18.90) HR- COL-None ATL-Austin Riley (1), Matt Olson (1) The Braves bats hit Gallen hard, he goes only 3.1 allowing 7 earned. and the 2 home runs. Game 2 Rockies 3, Braves 8 W-Spencer Strider (1-0, 4.76) L-Jesus Luzardo (1-1, 9.00) HR- COL-Hunter Goodman (2) ATL-Orlando Arcia (1), Ozzie Albies (1) Hunter Goodman gave the Rockies their first lead of the series in the 3rd inning, which was quickly diminished by a bases-clearing double by Adam Duvall. Arcia and Albies added bombs each in the 6th to put the Braves up 2-0 Game 3 Braves 12, Rockies 3 W-Ian Anderson (1-0, 3.38) L-Mason Miller (0-1, 10.38) HR: ATL-Gary Sanchez (1), Adam Duvall 2 (2) COL-None The Braves bats were just too strong. Mason Miller was out of the game by the 4th after giving up 3 home runs, two of which to Adam Duvall. Atlanta completes the sweep |

Cardinals 12, Dodgers 7 W-Jojo Romero (1-0, 6.00) L-Tyler Glasnow (0-1, 27.00) HR: STL-Patrick Bailey (1), Tommy Edman (2) LAD- Chris Taylor (1), Mike Yastrzemski (1) A slugfest to open the series, as Glasnow is crushed for 5 runs in just 1.2 innings of work, and the Cardinals held on to the lead for the remainder of the game. Game 2 Cardinals 1, Dodgers 2 W-Brusdar Graterol (1-0, 0.00) L-Ryan Hensley (1-1, 4.15) HR- STL-Paul Goldschmidt (1) LAD-None Our first walk-off of the Postseason comes courtesy of Teoscar Hernandez, lining a single up the middle to score Chris Taylor! Game 3 Dodgers 8, Cardinals 6 W-Alex Vesia (1-0, 0.00) L-Luis Perdomo (0-1, 15.00) S-Aroldis Chapman (1, 9.00) HR: LAD-Will Smith 2 (2) STL-None Shohei Ohtani was cleared to pitch for this game! He ends up going just 4 allowing 4 runs, but only 1 earned. The Cardinals were brought back in this game courtesy of C Will Smith. Down 6-1, Smith blasted a 3 run shot in the 6th off Kenyan Middleton before hitting the tying 2 run shot in the 8th off of Ryan Helsley. The teams would remained deadlocked, needing 17 innings to decide a winner, with Ohtani himself driving in the go ahead run with a double Game 4 Dodgers 1, Cardinals 5 W-Kenyan Middleton (2-0, 3.18) L-Alex Vesia (1-1, 4.15) HR: LAD-None STL-None Clayton Kershaw goes 6 shutout innings and the Dodgers hold a 1-0 into the 7th but the Cardinals play small ball on the Dodgers bullpen to even up the series heading back to LA!!
