Longest HR I've ever seen in this game so far

So I bought this game a couple of days ago on Friday and this was one of the coolest things I think I've ever seen happen in OOTP.

This is on a fictional save I've been playing with (I guess more watching since I don't control any of the teams in any of the leagues that are in this save) since OOTP 22.

Have any of you witnessed 500+ ft homeruns while watching 3D in any of your saves?

Most of my HRs are 425-465 feet. They need to tone it down. Saying that, no I have not seen a 500+ HR.

Just fyi, this is not a physics-based game. Home runs occur based on the statistical interplay between league averages, pitcher movement, batter power and park effects. So if the play result is a home run to center field, then it will be a home run that will clear the CF fence, however far away that may be. The actual distance to the fences is not a factor - they are just for show.

I've seen a few 500 footers. I even seen some that they say "forget about measuring that one". Or "they're still measuring that one". So who knows how far those went.

That's understandable, but regardless of that I feel like they are still cool to see when it does happen even if it's just for show.

There's also a bug in the current version that is triggering too many "this is the longest HR"... type plays, rather than limiting those to the Stanton/Judge types.

Oh okay that's interesting, I had no idea that was a bug. I have to check if the player is a Stanton/Judge type of player later

EDIT: It's May currently in the season I'm playing through and the player is leading the league in HRs at the moment with 18, and last season he lead the league in home runs with 46 so I would say he's a Stanton/Judge type of player

Yes, if it is a bug, I can wait for the next patch. But, the long homeruns are annoying.

You can check those either via the in game play by play review or the super stats replay I think

Just make your park dimensions 600' and you'll see long home runs :P

as long as you don't change the modifier for home runs, they'll still occur in proper proportions.
