Scheduling with 12 hour flights in mind

Hi

we're running a fictional league and are thinking about expanding it with some cities abroad. We value realism so we came up with a rule to prevent 12 hours flights:

Games played abroad will only be played by teams departing from an inter league city (e.g. the abroad city being Tokyo, the Legue being the West) and vis-versa.

Our schedule is pretty simple next to that.

I was wondering if this would technically even be possible and if you have any idea how to implement this?

The easiest solution is to ensure an off day every time a team travels to or from an abroad city, but that's easier said than done.

MLB tries to do this with time zone changes, although it's only a problem in one direction.
