Specific real players in a fictional save question

I would like to get some specific real life players into my fictional save but is that even possible? My current save is an association of leagues from seven different Western States and I would like to include MLB players that came from those specific States and have them in the draft pool of their home state in the year that they entered MLB. If that's not possible is there a way to see their ootp setup so that I can create them myself and have them be as close to what those players were when drafted?

As long as the players are in the MLB or MILB database then you should be able to import them

Go to the OOTP24 manual (just google it) and follow the steps to import players. Use baseball-reference to get the states correct. Don't get me started on the birthplace issue in OOTP. It's a slog fixing them.

In commissioner mode, go to the listing of Free Agents. On the right there is a pull-down menu with the option "Import Historical Players"


If you know the historical ID of the player you want, that should allow you to import that player starting at the season you choose. The game will adjust his birthdate so that his age is correct for your sim.


There are some other options, but that's the basic gist of it.
