Some Will Call This Shady, Others Will Love It

This team which I won't name had won 104 games during regular season, but going into playoffs he purchased a combined 15 new players that included pitchers and catcher's. I know ppl can do what they want but where is the honor of sportsmanship comes in to play. Is it just a win at all cost over sportsmanship. Things like this makes me not want to support OOTP anymore. I'm sure hate is coming my way but, I guess I'm just a guy that plays fairly.

Isn't this just the opposite as tanking in playoffs? If not why is tanking illegal in the game?

Eh, it's all nonsense anyhow. How many teams have Chase Utley (or insert-many-other-names-here)? It's marginally more interesting than doing coin flips for bragging rights, and I've gotten a few smiles here and there from seeing cards of past Royals players, but...it's just a mobile game writ large. I see and can appreciate all the hard work that the PT crew puts into creating content, but the base game is tons more interesting.

Looks like they just decided to complete all the live missions. Doubt they purchased all those guys.

Tanking wouldn't make a whole lot of sense in a promotion / relegation league ... I can't imagine it'd be fun to drop down to Stone over and over and blow teams away. I was in Iron for seven years trying not to get demoted, spent one year in Stone and will be heading back to Iron ... and I have no interest in dropping back down.

As for the guys he got, I think it may be like vapodge suggested. I know Kluber is a reward for a big live mission, as are many of those. And when I sat down to fight my way through all those team missions, I did it in one afternoon, and didn't really realize how many big cards I'd unlocked until I did it. Probably a coincidence it happened for him during the playoffs, which are such a crapshoot anyway in PT.

It just looks like a Live Mission upgrade. Big deal. It likely cost him almost nothing to do that at this point. Maybe he just read here how to upgrade quickly and easily.

What's the point of doing that? Esp if you already have a good team. I kinda agree with the guy that said the base game is now better.....because too many people here are either buying wins and/or everyone has the same mission players...when the leaders are all Chase Utley from every team....kinda loses something.

Should be like PT live

you get 2 100s 4 diamonds...etc.

but can be diff in tournaments like they have.
