Crashing

Game is crashing a ton when I click on minor league players (e.g. to view them more in depth...their profile, etc.). Right when clicking them, it freezes for a few seconds, and then crashes.

Realized ya'll might need some details. It's crashing often, when I click on players in my minor leagues

So please let us know the following:
Are you on a PC or Mac?
PC

What OS are you using?
Windows 10

Do you have the game on Steam or the Standalone or a different version (please name it)?

What are your system specs (especially your video card and your amount of memory)?

Not sure of this, but I have plenty of storage space (I clean it up periodically, and I have more now than I've had in the past- when OOTP wasn't crashing)

Where exactly does your game crash? What are you doing just before it crashes? Can you consistently get the crash to repeat by doing the same thing or is it seemingly random? Do you get an error message? If so, what?

See at the top. No error message. It is seemingly random, but happens quite often. If I sit down to play for an hour, it likely will happen depending on how much I'm looking at my minor leagues. Lately, almost every time I had clicked on "Joe Girardi" in my AAA organization to view him, the game freezes for a few seconds, and crashes.

It has happened like this before in my other saves too, enough to where I wanted to submit a thread, so am finally getting around to it

This might be a case where something in the facegen is crashing while loading images. You may want to disable your facegen settings entirely to at least confirm that is the issue, and then you may need to either update graphics drivers or alter the rest of the facegen settings to discover what is the cause. Do you have any issues playing out games in 3d?

Would that make sense though that it doesn't happen all the time? Also, not sure if this matters but (and you probably know this) it doesn't generate faces for the vast majority of players anyway, in historical.

I've turned it off to see if it will still crash ever. But also I don't play out games in 3d

Just an update, this is still happening, even though I have facegen turned completely off

And when you say "may need to update my graphic drivers" ... I mean, I haven't had any issues with prior versions of the game. Was there something else I was supposed to download when purchasing OOTP 25? I don't have any "updates" needed on my computer. That seems like something that should be forewarned with purchasing the game, if that's a potential issue. Like "download latest graphic drivers HERE" or something similar.

EDIT: I did just notice that under "Facegen Background Mode," Load player picture files automatically was still checked, so I unchecked that. Will update if it's still happening. It's tough to know of course, because it happens so randomly. 90% of the time when I click on minor leaguers, no problem. But that 1/10 times I click on a minor leaguer in my org, it will freeze for a few seconds and then totally crash. We'll see if it stops doing it because of this, hopefully.

Yep, just crashed again.

I've noticed it usually seems to happen when there's a very brief "load" delay after I click on the minor league team, to pull up their roster. It seems like after that, the next player I click on that team will make the game crash.
