Corrupt save file

The android save I was playing earlier this morning is suddenly corrupted and won't open. Can this be rescued?

How come there's no "save as" function so we can have a separate backup?

There is an auto-backup which should load in if the main save is corrupt, but if that's not occurring then there is an issue with it as well. Since you are on Android, I might be able to manually recover the save if you can send me the .lg file, and then I can send it back if I am able to fix it

I am not sure if it has happened to anyone else but it happened to the file I was playing earlier. The file no longer has a game date nor access date. I am on Google Pixel 8. I don't mind restarting, just thought I'd give a heads up on the topic

I've been trying a lot to reproduce but can't. Are the corrupt games ones that were created in a previous app version? Or do new games on the current patch also get corrupted?

Also if possible, could someone who is seeing this issue please enable the debug trace in the settings, then try to open the corrupt save, then send me the trace file?

To get the trace file after you create it, on Android plug the device into the computer, and using file explorer get it at \Internal storage\Android\data\com.com2us.ootpbbgo25.android .google.global.normal\files\AppData\prefs\debug

Ok I'm running a hotfix right now that should hopefully prevent further corruptions. I'm so sorry for this issue

The update fixed both of my corrupt save files and can now load them both. Good work

Phew, thank goodness, and thanks so much for reporting the issue so I was able to find it
