Long term fictional association question

I am configuring a save with an association that has 6 leagues and want to sim for somewhere between 25 -50 seasons to test out the best settings. Unfortunately I've hit a snag with the season start dates and scheduled # of games.

Of the 6 leagues, 2 have 16 teams each while the other 4 have 8 teams each. The 16 team league have 108 games each and the 8 team leagues have 84. Where I first noticed a problem is when I went to set the start date 2 weeks latter than the default of 1 Apr specifically so those 2 teams seasons would end around the same time as the other 4 teams. Because I have Association playoffs between the champions of each league and I wanted each leagues playoffs to finish as close to the same time so I can set the associations playoff around 1 week later. When I went into the first league which was the first league I created and had set to 108 games I noticed it now said 84 games. I changed it back to 108. The next league I checked which was originally set at 108 was still 108. The rest of the leagues should have been 84 but all were now 108. When I changed one of them back to 84 I found all the others at 84 again. I can't find anything in the Association settings to explain this.

What is causing this and what is the fix or do Association leagues have to all have the same # of games?

I wish I could tell you but I don't know. I changed the # of games and season start dates multiple times for multiple of the leagues until they were all the same. The only thing that may have been an issue is that I noticed on the Options page in League Settings that the check box for Force Start on Certain Weekday was checked and the day of the week was Monday however, the date I set for the start date was 15 April 2000 which was a Saturday. I ended up unchecking that box and ultimately changed the start date to a date later in April which happened to be a Tuesday. The only reason I'm not sure that was the problem was that I had set all of the 8 team leagues to the same start date but they didn't show the same date in the Play until menu.
