Just a heads up for Adobe users
They recently updated their ToS.
https://www.cnet.com/tech/services-a...-ai-explosion/ One might want to evaluate the ramifications of using Adobe products moving forward. Also, Affinity is 50% off right now. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/

Worth noting that GIMP and Paint.NET are both free.
https://www.gimp.org/downloads/ https://www.getpaint.net/download.html GIMP can read Photoshop files natively, but has a bit steeper of a learning curve. Paint.NET is a bit simpler, but requires a plugin to read Photoshop files. |

I use Affinity, along with Pixelmator Pro, the Luminar collection, Rebelle, Painter, and the Topaz collection. Bought all of 'em either 50% off or through humble bundle.com.
Adobe has become a poisonous dinosaur. They're a bloated leviathan, like Word. Ordinary people only need about 25% of the features. I'll take only being able to do 99% of what the bloodsuckers offer and own it for life. They think they have the right to moderate my content on my own computer??? #FAdobe

I’ve been trying Affinity on the 7 day trial. Once you google how to do stuff it’s pretty easy to get some nice things going.

I feel like I just got my curriculum set for Gimp/Inkscape/Scribus, and I'm tempted for Affinity to be free. Last edited by MattD1972; 06-10-2024 at 09:03 PM. |

I use Paint Shop Pro. Corel offers lower prices for previous owners. PSP opens most PSD files.

I don't save anything on the Cloud so no biggie. Plus I get the entire CS for $30 a month.
