Top Prospects with option years still available dumped into waiver wire for no reason

Over the course of the 6 years I've simmed so far, I've had this problem consistently. It seems like the AI just waives their players despite not needing to, resulting in top 10, even #1 prospects sometimes just ending up in the waiver wire.



I'm playing as an expansion team, New Orleans, and shifted the divisions around as a result. Other than that I didn't really fiddle with any settings. The very first year had arb rules change but I eventually turned those back. I uploaded my .dat files under the name "Expansion Waiver Issue.zip", originally I uploaded a nola.lg.rar file but I messed up doing that one so ignore it lol.


Along with the waiver issue, it seems like every team has just run out of money, making it very very difficult to trade, but that's a separate issue.

edit: the weirdest thing is the players often go unclaimed, which concerns me honestly even more than them ending up there in the first place. What is the AI valuing??

This is a serious immersion breaking problem that I and others have posted about. The last patch came and went and to my knowledge there has been no acknowledgment from the developers that this is being worked on or is even a problem.
