Changed Custom data path and game is broken

Please Help I wanted to add some faces to my gm playthrough and after i changed Custom data path in Misc,my save got deleted and i cant even start a new game,it says: Could not open game folder. I tried veryfing game data on steam even reinstaling it doesnt help and could find any solution on the internet

If you're the same guy who posted on the subreddit I've put a lengthier response there. Though, why did you change the data path if all you wanted to do was add photos to your game? That's the second time someone has done that and had an issue but it's not necessary to change that if you want to add photos - that is only used to change the entire location of all files in the save games.

In order to get rid of that error, I think it's to do with the path.cfg file located in the same directory as this screenshot - I would delete that and then restart the game and see if that changes it. I'd recently helped someone else with this issue and that was something that was hindering their progress with it too, so it's worth a try.

also, are you using OneDrive?

Yes should be me from reddit my nick is Snajekr, why did i do it you ask? i saw video and guy said that i need to change file in order to add photos i can link vid. but yeahj that is all i have done :d as i said in reddit response gonna try them fixes but if it wont help i would be glad to hop on dis with ya if it isnt a prob gonna keep u updated

Solved! You need to check if you deleted all your files from pc even from bin. if it doesnt help contact this hansmellman gentlman to help its an easy fix
