random debut players' age
Is there any way to set/limit the players' age in a random debut game? I hate to see a historical superstar come in the initial setup at 39 years old. I'd love to have everyone come in at age 27 or younger. I even set up a random debut league and manually adjusted the ages of all players with POT of 50 or more by lowering all those over age 27 to 27 years old. It kinda worked but was kind of a pain in the butt to do.

Play to spring 1901. Go to league functions, bottom left of screen click the 8 options to erase career stats, service time, entire history etc.. Then near top of that page, left column you can select inaugural draft. Also good time to change any of the other option if you want for your Random League. Also a good time to make a backup of your game, then restore the backup using a new name for your league. Your league will start out with your middle age and older players being those that started careers in late 1890s that played in 1901 (Cy Young, Mathewson, Honus Wagner, Nap Lajoie, etc.). And your younger players with up to 4 years actual MLB experience will be from the 1901-present time frame. This might sound complicated but it only take about 10 minutes longer. I like seeing the league transitioning from the great early 190os players to the newer era. Someone else posted the following on how they start. Here is what I am doing for a 1903 RDL: I am starting in career mode and importing the complete history up to 1902. Since I am not starting in Random Debut Mode, there will not be an Inaugural Draft. All 16 teams will already be established and will have the original players and statistics through the 1901 season. So, stars like Nap Lajoie, Honus Wagner and Cy Young will already be in the game. I play out the 1902 season at the end of the season (and beyond) rookie drafts are set up to include random players from 1903 thru 2000. The Amateur Draft in 1902 will make them eligible for the 1903 season. I set up the 1902 draft during game setup.

https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...tats+draft+age But keeping everyone that young will cause an age-related talent jam as new players come in and others don't retire. So, if you let the 36-year-old Ruth stay and play and then made him 30 years later as an import, you could also call him Babe Ruth Jr.
