Just wondering

If i have a player who can play for example
center and right wing, should i edit his position
to his main position

If i play him on right wing, but his main position is center

Should i edit his position to right wing or leave it at center

Players gradually improve at the position you play them at. If you go the the player's page, you can see every position rated from 1-20. Their main position will be 20, and playing a player at another position will gradually raise that to 20.

E.g. if you have a centre with a rating of 20 and a RW rating of 14, playing him at RW will eventually make him better at RW than centre

Editing the position is just for referenece only. Like if you play him at RW and you want all your right wingers grouped together in the roster screen, then edit it.

Actually slotting him into the RW slot in your lineup is the only way to develop his ability to play that position. (You can also do this with any other player, except goalies, and they'll develop in that position.)
