Can a player have a rating higher than 80?
Not sure if it is a glitch or not but I use the 20-80 rating scale and have a player with a 90 speed rating. Anyone else seeing that?

by default this year the ratings are not cut to 80, to change this you can go to game settings and where you place the ratings scale you can set it to be cut to 80.

It’s my opinion this was probably done because for some reason Markus has alway thought that high end unrealistic ratings are more “fun” for games. This year the development team decided to streamline the 20-80 system and make it work in a much more realistic manner. Due to this, I have a feeling this option became default. ( as a way to compensate(. I could be wrong, but it’s a gut feeling I have after all of these years around here.

My assumption is that most people played with the option on anyway, so they decided to make it the default. Like how baseball cards are off by default now because turning them off used to be the first thing you would do in a new save.

unrealistic ratings are more “fun” for games are an industry standard. We'd all love to build a "super team". We all have unrealistic ideas what that means. |
