This is because the puck is in the air, definitely looks strange when it happens though. At least that was the explanation I heard.

The ability to assign players different 'roles' for their regular line, then for special teams - I want my guys to play different roles on the PK/PP but at the moment, that isn't possible.

The ability to 'Copy and Paste' tactical setups - I don't want to set even strength 5v5 then have to still set 4v4 and 3v3 for essentially the same personnel - this would save an enormous amount of time. Same thing with PP/PK.

Jeff has alluded to it before but split the 'Defencemen' on the depth chart to LD and RD - would help a lot, hopefully it's already on the radar.

More staff and player interaction options, I want to be able to talk to my coach if the team are on a losing streak for example, give them ultimatums etc.

Also coach win loss records only go up to the 2016-2017 season , would be good to have these added.

Retired players becoming staff, the better career the player had the more likely that they will have high ratings. But also have some randomness to this. Also coach development and improvement would be great

I'm in the second year of my (almost) fully realized promotion/relegation league with three tiers. A few things I've noticed in this play through a a few shorter test runs.



-Would be helpful to move teams into the league through expansion in the lower leagues and promote an extra team or two from the lower league. Example: New teams come into the league in Division Three and I'm able to add a temporary extra expansion slot into Division Two and One to allow established teams to move up. Right now I'm getting ready to put new expansion teams into Division One and Two through the usual expansion draft and that just doesn't seem realistic. (This is possible in OOTP, but I hate comparing the games)



-Budgets, attendance, and player happiness don't seem to different league to league as teams move. I was happy to see a few players reject my contract offer due to being more talented than the average player in my league but maybe some of the players I have should want to move out of the third division?



-Since there aren't drafts in promotion/relegation it would be useful to have some system in place to develop players into the league. What the game does now is useful but it seems too random at times. Most teams don't have very large prospect pools. I have 4 levels of junior leagues and I'm only two years in so I'll be curious to watch how talent develops over the years and through the systems.


The most important thing here... This game is fantastic, I know we (the users) demand a lot because... well I guess that's just what we do... but I've tried every hockey game and pretty much every management game there is and this is the one I keep playing. I didn't purchase OOTP or Football Manager this year because I honestly stopped playing them both when FHM10 came out. (normally I hope between them by season). Out of curiosity I picked up a competitor's hockey game that has been spamming my social media advertising and I finally broke down to check it out. I was so disappointed and just came back to FHM. So, just an honest thank you for this game. Please take all of my comments and feedback as just wanting the game to be the best it can be.

I love the game and am arguably in the minority that will play in the EIHL. I'm from the UK so play this league from time to time.

But, after recently starting a new save I've found a handful of things that annoy me with this league. First is teams seemingly playing multiple games in one day (see here - https://imgur.com/a/7l0KodM). As you can see my team has 5 games in 1 day! Madness (4 on the calendar in the corner which doesn't include the game on the calendar). Also the EIHL play back to back games every weekend with a game near enough most Tuesday/Wednesdays, again this isn't replicated very well. Cups are not very important in FHM but the Challenge Cup has no depth or coverage to it at all. Games are played and there is no information about (unable to see cup fixtures, past winners etc). I don't believe there are options to have Two Way Deals with players from the league below, NIHL. Also FHM seems to favour the Conference Leagues of the EIHL over the league table when in turn the main focus is the League and very little interest in the Conference league side of things (which is shown on the loading screen when simming days).

There could be more but for now that is all that I have found annoying. Mini rant over and don't want it to sound negative but I'm just guessing as it's a 'small' league the research/information etc of the league isn't that worked on or prioritised about. I just want the game to be the best it can be and as detailed as possible.

As someone who loves and plays with a lot of custom leagues. I wish we could save teams somewhere and load them into a game. Not like all the players just the info.

- Create a team name, city, arena, market size, colors, logos, jersey and all of that kind of stuff and be able to save that info and design to a file and then whenever you want to add that team as an expansion team to any historical, custom or standard game. Would save me a lot of time. Having to painstakingly re-do all of this information every time I start a new game of any kind takes a long time. I do it, but would be nice to have something that speeds that up.

- Allowing the user to have full control of the Hall of Fame if we wish rather than just disabled or committee so that we can choose who gets put into the hall manually.

- Allowing the user the option of having full control over who wins voting awards if they so desire.

- Allowing for ties to some stat counting awards. The NHL for instance doesn't have a tie breaker for whoever leads the league in goals. So if 2 or 3 or however many players finish the season as the goals leaders and are tied they all win the award together.


- Better trade AI when it comes to trade deadline. Have teams in contention move their 1sts for help. Have teams not in contention moving soon to be UFA's for futures packages.

Streaks.

I find all the news messages about these a bit pointless when they
don't have any context. John Brown extends his assist streak to
9 games sounds impressive, but we don't know how it compares
with the best streaks of his career, or team/league history, or even
compared to other players in the league that season.

Without any context they may as well just get added to the game
report to avoid cluttering up the news feed.

Also during the playoffs, please add the series score to the
game box in the schedule screen. I often just sim games from the
schedule and it's annoying having to check the playoff standings
beforehand to know which game number it is.

Records - would like to see a massive expansion of the records
section, both team and league. Add team win/loss/points/goals season records,
head-to-head records, previous playoff matchups etc...
Also make it like the Leaderboards section, where you can click on
a record and see the Top-10 (or 100) list for that record, with a
chronological evolution.

Finally , please add the pop-up player profile box (when hovering over player name)
to the team transaction logs again. It worked up to FHM8 then got removed for some reason.
Also add it on the Player Bio screen.

-ability to turn the player into coach

A lot of talk about poor draft classes in later years.

I believe it is just scouting showing low potentials... for example I have players with over 9 future talent levels but their current level is so bad maybe that effects the potential rating? For example, I have a player available in the next NHL draft with a 9.19 future talent rating, but only a 3.04 talent rating with a 2.5 star potential rating. Should note that this is very common, I am just using this one player as an example.

In general maybe the game generates players with too low talent levels, which I have been saying for awhile in the CHL (Canada), but maybe it is across the game.

I had seen this issue acknowledge for the first time since I started playing a while back - I can't remember if it was Jeff on Reddit or here but they said it was seeming like it was a perception issue at large and they were trying to figure out why. I've not seen any mention of it since and this was much much earlier in the FHM10 cycle. I am hoping that there is some news on it for FHM11 as this is by far and away one of the most common points made by new, returning or experienced players alike.
